Be that Person
Stop Watching Success — Start Building It
The people who are extremely successful, don’t sit around watching “success porn”.
I know—because I’ve been that person.
Stuck in the trap.
Getting hyped off the latest trend.
Buying the best gear.
Chasing the next “hack.”
And hey, it’s not all bad.
Inspiration can be a powerful catalyst. It can point you in the right direction.
But what often gets missed is this:
The work it actually takes to get there.
The years.
The discipline.
The lonely hours.
The days you don’t feel like it—but show up anyway.
Because when the motivation fades—and it always does—
you’ll be left with only one thing: your habits.
If you haven’t built those?
You’ll drift.
Lost at sea, with no compass.
It’s awesome to draw inspiration from others.
To picture yourself leveling up.
To visualize the person you want to become.
But at some point, you have to be that person.
Not just dream about it.
Not just talk about it.
You have to take the pieces that resonate with you
and hammer them into your own framework.
Make it yours. Live it.
Nobody else can define what success looks like for you.
And figuring that out?
It’s a long, messy process.
Full of wins and losses.
Breakthroughs and breakdowns.
I’m in my mid-40s and still learning who I am.
Still evolving.
Still asking hard questions.
Because if we’re not growing—
what the hell are we even doing?
But don’t forget—give yourself grace, too.
Sometimes you’re closer to the summit than you think.
You just can’t see it yet.
One more thing...
Success isn’t a competition.
Someone else’s success doesn’t take anything away from yours.
Their win isn’t your loss. That’s famine mentality—and it’s bullshit.
Achieving success isn’t just about grinding harder.
It’s about getting smarter.
It’s about recognizing patterns that don’t serve you and having the guts to break them.
At first, it’s all guesswork.
You try, fail, adjust.
You collect ingredients.
You start building recipes.
And eventually—boom—you’ve got a formula that works.
That’s success.
Not a shortcut.
A system.
Built, tested, earned.
